Tides partnered with Rippleworks to assess and improve their IT infrastructure

Tides is a philanthropic partner and nonprofit accelerator building a world of shared prosperity and social justice. To date, Tides has made more than $3 billion in grants, sponsored more than 1,400 nonprofit projects, and helped launch leading organizations supporting causes ranging from economic development, sustainable environment, equality & human rights, and quality education.

Tides’ top priority was assessing their IT infrastructure to drive innovation and establish efficiencies across the organization. Tides partnered with Rippleworks to create an executive plan for improving IT capabilities and prepare their team to implement it.

Tides partnered with Rippleworks Expert Anisha Vaswani, a technology executive who led IT operations at Toast, Inc., Box, VMware, and Agilent Technologies. Together, they:

• Developed an understanding of current IT applications and infrastructure gaps to enabling Tides’ strategic imperatives

• Mapped current infrastructure; built heatmap to tag IT pain points by business area

• Identified high-priority investment areas and built a 9-month execution plan

• Crystallized IT team and execution requirements
