Callisto partnered with Rippleworks to build a talent system for scale

Callisto helps survivors of sexual assault and professional sexual coercion protect their communities. Their model uses two primary products designed to combat sexual assault, support survivors, and advance justice. Their flagship product, Callisto Campus, launched in 2015 and supports college sexual assault survivors and their allies on campuses across the United States. Survivors who visit their school’s Callisto Campus site are 6x more likely to report their assault.

Callisto’s top priority was building a diverse team of mission-aligned top talent to prepare for scale. Callisto partnered with Rippleworks to help build HR/Talent systems that optimize hiring and onboarding talent.

Callisto partnered with Rippleworks Expert Rebecca Peel, who led talent and people operations at Rippleworks, The Rockefeller Foundation, and Living Goods. Together they:

• Introduced the concept of an Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and its role hiring talentEVP + its role; built an EVP checklist and drafted Callisto’s EVP

Designed and developed interview templates to screen candidates during the first round of a hiring search

Implemented behavioral interviewing best-practices into Callisto’s standardized hiring strategy

Reviewed and developed feedback on existing draft job descriptions
