Taimba shortens the agricultural supply chain to ensure that smallholder farmers can access consistent, formal and sustainable markets within urban city centers like Mombasa and Nairobi. To do this, they organize farmers into cooperatives and support them to improve productivity. Their mission is to optimize distribution, quality and price of food in East Africa through a data-driven, innovative and intelligent supply chain. Taimba utilizes a mobile cashless B2B platform that connects farmers to retailers.Â
One of the Taimba’s top priorities going into the project was effectively anticipating and acting upon changes in their supply chain.
