Farmerline creates lasting profits for farmers across Africa by delivering daily weather reports, pest and disease forecasts, financial services, and market information directly to their mobile phones. With partners in 11 African countries, Farmerline has reached 200,000 farmers and profiled 1 million acres of farmland.

Farmerline’s top priority was growing their agribusiness partner network to reach an additional 500,000 farmers. Farmerline partnered with Rippleworks to improve how they attract agribusiness leads using digital account-based marketing marketing.

Farmerline partnered with Rippleworks Expert Jason Grunberg, a marketing leader who brought experience from CM Group, Sailthru, DC3, and Tilden. Together, they:

• Learned account based marketing fundamentals applied to Farmerline’s context

• Defined Farmerline’s audiences, built out segment traits and prioritized segments, and discussed approaches to gathering information about segments and prospects

• Designed and executed an account-based marketing pilot campaign based on priority segments

• Delivered an account-based marketing roadmap for Farmerline’s future execution; built out prospect lists and conducted research for multiple audiences
