Cellulant partnered with Rippleworks to increase the reliability and agility of its data architecture

Cellulant is a pan-African digital payments service provider building the critical infrastructure that will drive economic inclusion of rural populations across Africa. Cellulant prompts, collects, settles, and reconciles payments in real time. Cellulant operates in 11 countries, working with 95 banks and more than 40 mobile money platforms that have a combined customer base of more than 140 million people.

As Cellulant scales, its top priority was to increase reliability and agility of its data architecture and it rapidly expands its customer base. Cellulant partnered with Rippleworks to increase their engineering team’s ability to design and execute microservices architecture.

Cellulant partnered with Rippleworks Expert Shashank Tiwari, who has used his deep technical expertise building highly scalable systems and engineering teams at companies including StackRox, Medallia, Elementum, and GE. Together they:

• Learned the foundations of building a microservices architecture

• Developed a point of view on what an improved architecture looks like for Cellulant’s markets

• Built multiple proof of concepts with expert guidance to practice conversion to microservices

• Identified best practices to redesign platforms across Cellulant’s engineering teams
