Complete Farmer is transforming West Africa’s agricultural sector by equipping smallholder farmers in Ghana and Togo with precision agriculture tools, data-driven production protocols, and real-time satellite imagery support to meet export market demands. Operating as a three-sided digital marketplace connecting Buyers, Growers, and Digifarmers, the platform empowers farmers to scale commercially, improve cost-effectiveness, and boost yields.Â
One of the Complete Farmer’s top priorities going into the project was developing and implementing market expansion strategies to new geographies.
Complete Farmer partnered with Jacqueline Edwards, a strategist, operator, and coalition builder with 20+ years of experience across tech, health, philanthropy, and democracy. Together, they:
• Identified key criteria and decision-making process for Complete Farmer to scale-up to new countries
• Developed a human-centered design approach to interview farmers and partners to gauge opportunities and challenges for rolling out the Complete Farmer model in Togo
• Exchanged experiences with People and Ops leaders from other ventures who have successfully scaled-up regional ventures
