Growth capital to fund regional expansion and provide working capital
WARC provides farmers with a holistic range of services to increase their yields and incomes through its network of local Trading Hubs, which are open year-round and proximate to farmers. WARC provides three main services at Trading Hubs: 1) they sell affordable, high-quality seeds, crop protection, and sustainable fertilizers 2) they purchase commodities (e.g., maize and soybeans) from farmers at a very competitive, transparent price and 3) they offer free trainings on better agriculture practices as well as business planning and financial literacy.
Why Rippleworks Invested:
WARC needs an injection of capital in order to build out more Trading Hubs, access working capital, and invest in a more integrated and digital supply chain management system to support its growth. With a loan from Rippleworks, WARC is able to access the time-pressing capital it needs to serve more farmers ahead of the next harvest season.
